To commemorate the 2569th Birth Anniversary of Lord Buddha, Angel Lord Academy High School organized a Poetry Writing and Art Competition, encouraging students to express the values of peace, harmony, and compassion through creative mediums. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both junior and senior students.

In the Senior Art Competition, Ms. Sanaina Syangbo of Grade X emerged victorious, winning the first position for her powerful and creative portrayal of Lord Buddha’s teachings. Ms. Amrita Tamang and Ms. Nichham Limbu, both from Grade VIII, secured the second and third positions respectively, showcasing impressive artistic talent and originality.

The Junior Art Competition also saw a vibrant display of creativity. Mr. Shakti Bhujel from Grade IV bagged the first prize, followed by Mr. L. Dear Shrestha and Ms. Riva Khadgi, both from Grade III, who secured second and third positions respectively. Consolation prizes were awarded to Mr. Amrit Gurung from Grade III and Ms. Sadina Shrestha from Grade IV for their commendable contributions.

In the Poetry Writing Competition, Jenisha Limbu of Grade VIII won the first prize for her poem “Shanto Ka Doot”, which captured the spirit of Buddha’s message of peace. Ms. Prashansha Ghimire of Grade IX earned the second prize for “Path of Buddha”, while Riyanshu Baral from Grade VII took third place with “Shanta Ko Swar Gautam Buddha Lai Samarpit”. Consolation prizes were awarded to Ms. Anjeela Gajurel of Grade IX and Ms. Sumina Khadka of Grade VII for their expressive poems.

The winners were honored in a prize distribution ceremony held later, where Mr. Raj Kumar Tamang, Head of the English Department, presented the awards. The program was hosted by Ms. Pushpanjali Tamang and served as a meaningful platform to nurture young talent while honoring the timeless teachings of Lord Buddha.
