Angel Lord Academy High School marked the World Day Against Child Labor with a meaningful event organized by its student clubs. The program aimed to raise awareness about the issue through art, poetry, and speeches.

The event began with a welcome speech by Irsha Thapa, leader of the Social Club, highlighting the importance of the day. Students from the Literature Club presented powerful poems shedding light on the harsh realities of child labor. Participants included Sangeeta Tamang, Srishti Dulal, Sonisha Thapa Magar, Prinsa Ghimire, and Niharika Lama from grade 10, Sumiran Adhikari from grade 9, Rohit Bharati from grade 8, and Nunu Subba and Sumina Khadka from grade 7.

Representing the Orator’s Club, Anjeela Gajurel and Samriddhi Poudel (grade 9) delivered persuasive speeches urging an end to child labor and advocating for safe, nurturing environments for children.

The Art Club showcased expressive artwork promoting the message against child labor. Contributions came from Niru Limbu and Hukum Bikram Thapa (grade 9), Harsika Bhujel, Simron Limbu, Amrita Thapa Magar, and Niccham Limbu (grade 8), and Nunu Subba and Bhawani Thapa Magar (grade 7).

Additionally, Social Club members Smark KC, Abhay Gurung, Ranjan Sinchuri, Sandip Gole, Sashin Pandey, and Ram Thapa Magar displayed slogan placards to support the cause.

The program was effectively hosted by Prashansha Ghimire, the school’s Vice Captain. The event reflected students’ creativity and commitment to advocating for children’s rights and a world free from child labor.
