Angel Lord Academy High School successfully organized a mock election for Grade 10 students to provide them with practical knowledge of the democratic election process. A total of 30 students participated as voters in the educational exercise.

The mock election featured three candidates from different political parties. Mrs. Durgamaya Thapa Magar, representing the Rashtriya Janahit Party with the election symbol Gun, emerged victorious with 22 votes, securing 64% of the total votes cast. Mr. Bhairab Bahadur Bhandari of the Rashtriya Bikas Party, symbolized by a Watch, received 5 votes, accounting for 15%. Mr. Kamal Biram โ€œUdasiโ€ from the Rashtriya Yuwa Dal, contesting with the symbol Mobile, received 4 votes, which is 5% of the total. Among the 30 votes, 4 were declared invalid, highlighting the importance of properly understanding the voting process.

The election was managed by a dedicated team of student election staff. Ms. Sanaina Syangbo efficiently fulfilled the role of Polling Centre Officer, ensuring that the process was carried out fairly and smoothly. Supporting her were student polling staff: Ms. Prinsa Ghimire, Mr. Pratik Limbu, Ms. Sangeeta Tamang, Mr. Abhiraj Thapa Magar, and Mr. Govinda Shrestha.

This mock election served as a valuable learning experience, allowing students to engage with democratic values, election procedures, and the significance of responsible voting. The school administration appreciated the efforts of all participants and staff in making the event a success.
